Triggering (SI) - skin scraping
This is really nasty of me and extremely manipulative but i pretend to have itchy skin and then scrape at my legs with things. i apply a lot of pressure and it peels all of the skin off. it leaves massive friction burns all over my legs in massive patches and then i tell my mum i did it in my sleep.
does anyone else self harm in this way? are you as manipulative about it as i am?

Reason: Added trigger warning and removed tool.

I do that, but unconsciously. I seriously don't know I've doing it until it gets sticky and messy...
You might want to put a trigger warning on this.
What does your mom say?

I've done that before...mostly unconsciously, but yes, I've done that before.

That is my main form of SI, so yeah, I've done it, though I tend to be very vague about how it happens to people who don't know I SI.

I have a SI awareness and a haematite and white bead bracelet from the RYL shop, and I love them!

I've done that and got additional pleasure from getting one over on others. I liked being able to do it right under their noses and them not noticing. Got a real sense of control from it. So yeah, I guess I was quite manipulative although I don't like that word. It sounds quite nasty and I was trying to be.

Yup I do that as well as cutting. I find it's more painful after the event and takes longer to heal that using my [tool]. So sometimes that's what I want to do. And you're right, it's easier to cover up and lie about that with cuts. I've made all sorts of excuses about this kinds of wounds. You're not alone xx

Yup, and always consciously. I'm definately just as manipulative as you about it, so don't worry. It's horribly addictive in it's nature, but I'm in a similar position to yourself - when I started, it was always quite small, so it was easy to pass them off as burns and what not. But since it progressed, people have been suggesting X,Y and Z lotions and potions, thinking it's a skin condition. So don't worry! Most definately in the same boat x
