Saw films

Hi is anyone into the saw films? I'v heard saw 5 is out at the end of october. I think they are excentlly written. But it does make u think if its possible to write films like that then it must be posible for someone to do things like that in real life. Scary!!! I enjoyed the first 3 films but the fourth one i found it hard to understand but i'll still probably watch the fifth one.

I've watched the first three. I haven't gotten around to watching the fourth one yet. But they were pretty good. I keep thinking about what I would do if I were put in that situation. Would I be able to free myself, or would I die just sitting there? It's all really scary to think about...

I think they're an interesting concept but they really are just taking the concept and milking it now.

The fourth one was okay. I don't like the 3rd one, but I like the 1st and 2nd ones. I'm really excited for Saw 5. I really want to go opening day just so that I won't be curious and look at spoilers.

Exactly. The first is brilliant, second average then it goes into garbage trying to tie up 4 (or more) movies into a coherent plot and interesting traps.

The plots are multi-linked into other plots of the earlier works making them confusing and less interesting to watch on it's own merit.
The traps are too complex and the original aim is lost
The characters have become throwaway and any attachment is lost, since we know they'll die at the end.
The main antagonist, despite being an enigma and not some generic type, is dead, so any more movies will not be as good.

I could go on, but my general point is there (somewhere), as far as I'm concerned SAW was promising but went downhill after the second.

well i love Saw -all of them...

I think they got more involved and loved each one in its own right...

I started getting confused after the second one, i mean the first one was good, but after that it all went downhill, and now they arnt that great, now im like "oh god another one".

But i think they are planning to make 7 movies, i cant rember where i heard that from though. But as long as people see the movies and buy the dvds, they will keep bringing back more movies

i love the saw movies, but i will admit that with each one, they just keep getting more confusing, and you really have to see the previous ones to know whats really going on.

i know that by the end, almost everyone is going to be dead, so its not really a suprise, but i just enjoy seeing all the blood and torture =]

i also read that they have plans for a 6th one next year and they're even coming out with a SAW game haha.

I thought they scrapped the game? If not then I'll get it for my aunt and play it at her house. I agree that they get really confusing but the 5th one is a slight bit of a fresh start since (I'm just assuming) Amanda and all the cops(well the 'old' ones like Matthews) except for Hoffman are gone. I'm really excited. I sure hope Strahm doesn't die, Scott Patterson is one very good looking guy =]

its ment to be out in 2009 if they are still doing it, but if they do its going to get a lot of bad press with the whle violance in games stuff
