The only way to access it is from inside my house.

I did not do it and all my doors are locked.

You know it's a basement flat with a little outdoor area. The neighbor could probable break I. Through the gate as my side isn't locked but he somehow managed to lock his fate from the other side.

So spooky.

Genuinely scared someone has been in my house and done it. But what a random thing to do.

Is it swept clean of is their a pile of dirt etc? Sometimes high winds in tight spaces can leave traces of dirt that could look swept. Sort of like dunes. Maybe a desert is forming on your "basement balcony"

Also, I like that no one is concerned I may be the target of some serial killer who like to toy with his victim by sneaking in and doing household chores before finally killing them. YOU GUYS DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT ME.

TBF Id be rather pleased if that serial killer chose me and did my bathroom. Maybe it could be the start of a beautiful friendship, but hey at least you wouldnt kark it with a pigstye of a house so the forensic people would be like ewwww what a minger.
