Mass animal deaths

Has anyone else been reading or hearing about the mass deaths of animals all over the globe, it's really strange.

- 450 blackbirds found dead in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
- 40,000 dead crabs washed up in Kent
- 8,000 turtle doves dropped dead from the sky in Italy
- 3,000 blackbirds dead in Beebe, Arkansas
- 2 million small fish in Chesapeake Bay, Maryland
- hundreds of snapper fish washed up in New Zealand
- 200 American coots found dead on a bridge in Tyler, Texas (apparently they were all hit by cars on the bridge but 200 coots hit by cars all on the same day?? it seems a bit weird)
- 100 tons of dead sardines, catfish and croaker washed up in Parangua, Brazil

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ain-beaks.html
I read this article today that says some of the reasons include the movement of the magnetic north pole, colder weather, New Years fireworks, poisoning in rivers and lakes e.t.c. But even if it is found out to be all of these things I still thinks it's a bit weird that they are all happening at the same time.

It is creepy - and the best thing is the headline "AFLOCKOLYPSE NOW". Too funny.

Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do you want?

Odd...it does seem to have something to do with both's methods of navigation though. Other animals that rely less on it seem to be unaffected.

This reminds me of that film The Core - I don't know if anybody here's seen it.

Basically the US Government are testing nuclear weapons in the earths upper mantle/core and it goes wrong and stops all the lava in the centre of the earth from moving. This then cocks up the magentic field that cover the earth and suddenly all these birds just go mad or something and die.

Then they have to get the lava moving again but that's neither here nor there in relation to this thread, it's just the first bit.

^ Awesome.

Here are some outrageous theories:

- Aliens are a'coming
- The government is testing some strange new chemical/weapon/something
- God got a bit mad at the birds and fish
- Sudden Fish and Bird Death syndrome (SFBDS)
- Cultism amongst birds and fish - some kind of mass suicide arranged
- A foreign government is testing things
- There is a Shadow Government like on the X Files who are either in cohootes with the Aliens, experimenting with new technology or who are very hungry and fancy a bit of poultry with fish for din dins.

If I end up being right on any of those counts I reserve the right to gloat.

Imperfection is underrated.

I don't doubt that Goverments could be cohorts with aliens. They were pretty quick to cover up Area 51. The day it crashed they said a UFO had crashed, then the next day they said they were mistaken and that it was a hot-air balloon. Well there is a clear difference between the two so I'm guessing maybe one of them forgot to go to Specsavers >.<

If they were testing chemicals then we'd need to figure out a common factor between birds and fish to explain why it isn't affecting other species of animal. I'm not trying to disprove it or sound rude, but all this mysterious stuff intrigues me right to the bone.

IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD!!!111!!!

-cough-

Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgastic future
that year by year recedes before us.
It eluded us then, but that's no matter - tomorrow we
will run faster, stretch out our arms further...

And one fine morning -
So we beat on, boats against the current,
borne back ceaselessly into the past.
