Yeah I've heard of as clopixol, never been on it though.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

I was on clopixol for years along with others and it did help but as i got better becasue im on other anti psychs i reduced the dose and eventually came off it. I found it made me really, really tired. I actually only came off it a couple months ago, good luck.

Is it similar to acuphase? I've had those IM injections when I was at my most manic. I think the tablets are shorter-acting (the injections keep you asleep for abut 2 & a half days). Although I hated being injected against my will, It saved me from complete manic exhaustion and was the beginning of the end of my manic psychosis.

Zuclopenthixol acuphase is the acetate salt of Zuclopenthixol, so the active ingredient is the same. The tablets are shorter-acting because they don't have extended release. The injection works for 2 weeks because it is slowly released from an oily substance into the bloodstream.

Acuphase is for short-term management of mania and/or psychosis only, while oral tablets can be used in maintainance therapy after the injection.
