hi has anyone been to a plagrism meeting thing. im shitting myself i cant get chucked off the course i didnt copy my mate she just helped im really scared got my exams next week aswell really panicking. can ne1 help

You might not get chucked out. You may be given the chance to rewrite it, and get capped at 40%. Personally I've never been to one, but my boyfriend was accused of plagarising animations in his first year, as the quality he was working at was far higher than the rest of the class, and he just had to prove he was capable of doing it himself. Is it an essay or something you're being accused of plagarising?

yeh it was a lab report for a psychology module. everyone did the same test and got the same results if nething it will be the method and hypothesis. the email said it was meeting to decide whether to take it further or not.

It'll probably go on how much proof they have. If the wording is exactly the same, i.e. it looks as if it was just copied and pasted, then they have a case. If it's similar, but in different words just making the same point, there's far less proof. I think you should be able to talk to your student union about what to expect and how to fight it. If not, they'll know someone who you can discuss it with.
