Triggering (SI/Suicide) - hey i'm new so thought i'd post my story
well i'm new to the site and to vets but i thought i'd post my story to a- get it out of my head and b- so i guess you know a little of why i'm here, so here goes in a nut shell- basically i have been self harming since i was 15 i'm now 22 and its gotten alot worse i started because i was serverly bullied at school so much so i didnt have friends so i made my own up whom in some weird way are still here now kinda like a security blanket i think, every thing was grand for a while when i left school but as long as i can remeber i have suffered from mood swings which make me hyper active or really depressed so i have always been hounded by these erm two years ago my grandma died around the same time my nan was diagnosed with a brain tumor, then last year my nan died after a long and horrible suffering which was the hardest thing to watch after her funeral by a couple of days my dad got made redundant and mum got rushed into hospital with a bifocal migrain which looks a bit like a stroke it was scary and horrifing and my only way to cope seemed to be to si i felt like killing my self but it seemed so selfish but the feelings got worse and i felt selfish i should of been stronger or heven knows what i felt like i was trying to be an adult but was still feeling like a child, erm i think thats about it oh and after a lapse into depression again i started to si but i'm on a bit of n up for now so hoping it will stay that way for a little anyways thanks for letting me woffell Anna xx

Anna, it seems to me that you are coping pretty well with all of the problems.
Welcome to vets and welcome to RYL.

My husband is my best friend.
In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.
Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.
