Medication Question - Please, Lovan/Prozac advice
Hey, I don't know if this is in the right place but I need to ask..
I saw my doctor early this week and this morning and after talking with her for a while she gave me a prescription for Lovan, my choice if I fill it or not. I don't know whether I want to have it filled or not. I've never taken anything before, let alone actively looked for help.
I'm going away tomorrow and I just wanted some other opinions on the medication before i choose. Any help would be much appreciated.

Well, I'm on this medication and I find it great to be honest. When I was first prescribed it I was told it had very little side affects and well I doubt I have suffered any. I haven't been on any others before so I can't compare but I've found it great. That said, it is different for people. Hope that helps a little bit x

I am going to move this to mental health discussion & support as this thread would be more suited there due to you wanting personal experience of medications. If you want it moving back here feel free to contact the forum mods.
It might be worth giving a try. If they didnt think it would help, they wouldn't have given you the script.... I don't know how bad you're feeling but usually I'd say it's worth giving a go because things must be pretty tough already. I've heard it's a good one in terms of few side effects as its from the newer class of drugs - SSRIs (not like new new, but in terms of how they look at meds), some of the older ones are pretty nasty. I've been on other SSRIs and not experienced side effects if thats any help.

Definitely give it a try, you never know how helpful it could be. I had a week where everything was fantastic but unfortunately it didn't last. I really hope that you find the medication helpful. Good luck and take care.
I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

I was on fluoxetine for 11months and it started to work but then stopped so they upped the dose and again i felt a bit better then it stopped working so they upped it to max dose and the same happened again so they reduced the dose and added mirtazepine which i was on for 6 weeks but it just made me put on weight so i stopped taking both, the fluoxetine itself didnt give me anyside effects.
