It's leaking!!!!

Our heater broke and is leaking all over the dorm room!!!!!!!!!

Well mostly on my roommate's side.

And my RA wasn't there, so I called the Duty RA, and she came and looked at it and said she'd bring me paper towels and someone will hopefully get to it in the next week or so. In the meantime, we have a lovely puddle of water on our floor. That's growing.

So if my room floods in the middle of the night and I drown, it was nice knowing all of you. At least she assured me that we won't get charged for water damages since I reported it.

Not to mention that it is pouring outside!!!!

*puts on bathing suit and snorkeling mask*

ah well at least it's mostly on your room-mate's side! sucks to be her. the snorkelling mask is a very good idea.

i remember once when i was in a therapeutic community, someone left the bath running and it badly flooded the (carpeted) corridor. i spent about two hours that night with my jammies rolled up to my knees simply dancing up and down to music on towels and blankets to absorb the deluge.

Aww that sucks! Although dancing is always fun. I don't get how people can just leave the bath running *shrugs*

So anyone up for a pool party in my dorm?

I never leave the taps on. And if I'm filling the sink with water or something, I am always keeping an eye on it!

It's still leaking....

Uh, at the risk of being a pain? Freezer type zip lock bags help keep stuff clean and dry!

(I use them for my sewing projects too, to keep the fabric and thread and buttons together!)

In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.

Thank you for the suggestion I definitely will when it gets to that point.

So far so good, mostly still on the roommate's side.

eeew! crusty radiator water! is it all rusty and stinky? I'd imagine it would be if it is a closed system. I hope it gets taken care of soon. but hey, you can bust out your rubber duckies and plastic boats and have a ball!

thats what i'd do.....
