a warning?

I was on chat the other day, and got distracted and started doing work, realised (bout 2-3 hours later) that i was still logged into chat and i hadent contributed. in the chat window it siad that i had got a warning for not beening an active participant for a while- i am jsut wondering what the warning did? ive read the rules ect but i cant seem to fing anything there about it. just curious.

it kicks you from the chat room for being inactive,but its not an infraction or anything

It's an automated response from the chatroom technology. If you are 'inactive' in chat, it gives you firstly a warning that you maybe kicked in which a lot of members type in main chat "not inactive" which will then mean you won't be kicked. If you don't type anything after the warning, you are then kicked automatically from chat. I guess so people can't just sit there idle for days on end as it were. I'm not sure of the exact time lengths though as chat mods don't get kicked for being inactive meaning we can fall asleep on our keyboards while in chat for any length of time and still be there. (Not that I've ever fallen asleep in chat *coughcough*). Shan (Day Tripper) will probably know the length as she has admin ability within the chatroom software. Hope this has helped a bit.
