SI Question - my cuts!! infected

ok so i cut kina bad the other day ....
and went to hospital.
and got loads and loads of paper stitches and they covered it with a bandage ..
so it was itching today so i took off the bandage ..
and all the cuts r yellow and weeping ...
and the butterfly stiches r all covered in this yellowstuff thats cuming out of the cuts...
i duno wat to do cuz it really smells and hurts cant hrdly move my elbow...
i'v got an appointment to get the dresssing changed tomorro but duno wat to do ...???
wait til tomorrwmor go some where today????

Hi,

It sounds really painful, I'm sorry that the cuts have got infected. I'm not a first aider but from my experience, you should be ok to wait until tomorrow when your dressing is changed unless things continue to get rapidly worse.

Maybe you could contact NHS Direct? They might be able to offer you some advice.

you need to get it looked at immediatly if possible each day that goes by that it is infected the more time it has had to get into your blood system and cause even more damage. If you can not get it seen today then wash it with some mild soap and water and put some triple antibiotic cream, neosporin or something of likes, and put a clean covering on it till the you see the doc.

Is te area red or inflammed?
Is the area warm to touch?
Also, do you have a temperature?
