Waiting for a therapist

Two weeks ago tomorrow i had i guess you would call it an assessment and the woman i talked two said a therapist would be calling me. now i don't really want to go to therpy but it's that or lose my job. i can go back to work the first of may but i'm suppose to have been in therpy while i was away from work. so i was wondering how long will it be before someone calls me about starting therpy?

well i can only say happened to me after my inital assessment...this was with the sh psych team. i had the assessment in mid jan(i think) and then bout 4-5wks i had an appt with the Cognitive-analytical-therapy psych but this all had to go through funding approval which took most of the time.
its possible they are doing the same with you, waiting for funding from primary care trust.

try not to worry too much about work. you can let them know that you are waiting for the appointments to start. they cant expect you to have started therapy, and this will be an ongoing thing that you need appts for a while.

if you are concerned, ring the people up and ask roughly when you are going to be seen. they should be able to give you some idea of when you are going to be seen and then you can let work know that things are being sorted
