do any of you think it really matters what shampoo you use. i mean like whether it's expensive or not or even for the different hair types. because i was using sort of cheap shampoo and decided to try some that's suppose to help make your hair thick and it costs a little more money and i have fine hair and i don't really think it made a difference. also does anyone have suggestion on managing fine hair it's not thin or anything i do have a lot of hair it's just always really flat.
It does help to use shampoo designed for your hair type, that's what I find.
The cost doesn't always matter as much, although I would say it can make a big difference, but there's no doubt in my mind that different shampoos have different effects on my hair.
I think you have to go for what's good for you. I guess some people can get away with washing their hair with cheap shampoo but I know I can't. I use Alberto Balsam shampoo which I find is the best for my hair, it leaves it really soft and it smells really nice ^_^
I think it's hard to find a shampoo that helps with volume, I know my friend has the same problem. She says she's always trying this new volume shampoo or whatever and says it doesn't work. Good luck to you on finding something though :)

My friend uses John Frieda shampoo to help with thickness because her hair goes really flat, and that works quite well I think - but it is very expensive, about £4.50 a bottle.
I also use John Frieda for brown hair, and it definitely makes mine look nicer than my sister's when she steals it to use on her blonde hair...

I have very oily hair, scalp and skin. If I don't use something that strips out the oils, my hair gets heavy and icky. So I use Head and shoulders normally, coal tar shampoo when the humidity is high or i'm pmsing. I condition the ends only.
It makes my hair flyaway, but i can live with that just fine.

Alberto Balsam FTW! Cheap and cheerful but still one of the best brands Ive ever used.
I tend to use what's on offer or what my Mum buys for me (which is usually what's on offer!). I tend to find it's the conditioner rather than the shampoo that makes the most difference so I don't mind spending a bit more on a conditioner that I know works for my hair.
Do you blowdry your hair? Try hanging your head upside down to blow dry it and use a bit of mousse at the roots. Apparently that words although I have more of a problem controlling the volume of my hair! Lol!

I use Tesco own brand and it is the best one and the cheapest one that I have ever used. expensive shampoos coat your hair with a plastic film that makes it awkward!
treseme or however its spelt makes my hair dry looking greasy, like i havent properly washed it out or something even when i have, or when i rewash it and try to dry it again it still looks the same, Herbal essences or tigi bedhead shampoos are the best brands for my hair. best conditioner is the little sachets from home-dye kits (y)
I'm using some Charles Worthington stuff at the moment that I got for Christmas and that's pretty good. Untangles and smoothes my hair then stops it going so frizzy so quickly. My hair's pretty mad - if I blowdry it and don't straighten it, it looks like a poodle that got caught in a tumble drier! All fluffy, frizzy and dry. Takes a-a-a-ages to get my hair presentable in the morning.

Usually, I buy stuff without sulfates because it makes my hair less frizzy. I don't usually get expensive stuff, though my one now is the TIGI only because I found a huge bottle on clearance (it was packaged buy one get one free, then the entire thing was marked like 50% off or something). It's lasted me ages longer than other shampoos in the same sized bottle.

I have a bottle of really cheap and nasty 2in1 for when i run out and cant afford any more, but usually i use australian formula drench for coloured hair, or loreal elvive 2in1 anti dandruff when my hair isnt coloured.
They work best for me. IMHO different shmpoos work well for different people. Like Fructis (sp?) makes my hair all gungy and gross :S

I find some shampoos work well for me and some don't. At the minute i'm using Superdrug own shampoo and condition for dry/damaged hair (I dye my hair alot!) and it makes it look thick and shiny and smells like coconuts.
I use the conditioner as well, and leave it on for 20 minutes - that really makes a difference to my hair.

I get dandruff when the weather changes so I've recently started using Head & Shoulders. I honestly don't think I'll ever use any other shampoo again. My hair looooooooooves it. :)
Expensive shampoos for frizzy and unmanageable hair tend to make my hair too brittle feeling and it still ends up super frizzy and uncontrollable.
