Risperidone and breast pain

Sorry for making another thread about boobs and risperidone :P I didn't think I'd get many answers from the lactation thread as it was pretty much finished.

Basically, I know lactation can be a side effect of this medication, and I saw in the other thread that someone was getting tender breasts.
I've had tender breasts, but I've also had a horrible sharp pain going through my nipple. Is this a side effect or should I be worried?

That's how mine started before i realised i was lactating. It started a week or two before i actually started lactating, so if i were you i'd keep an eye on it. Definatly sounds Risperidone related.

Try a hot water bottle on your chest - it helped me when my breasts were REALLY tender.

Hey :)
I'm on risperidone and mine are sore. Taking evening primrose oil tablets is meant to help with sore boobs so I'm trying that. Haven't noticed a change yet but it does wonders for my hair and skin! Maybe try that? I don't think it would do any harm because its natural.
By the way, is the risperidone making anyone else really emotional and broody? I'm feeling a bit hormonal and I want a baby and I want one NOW!
