I'm so happy today i'm giving blood for the 11th time, i have been giving blood for the past 4 and a half year's and i give them my blood 3times a year i really cant wait roll on 17:35pm plus i'm hopeing to find out when i can give my first lot of bone marrow :)

I gave blood for the first time a month and a half (or so?) ago, and it was a bit of a disaster...

As a little kid you believed in fairytales,
that fantasy of what your life would be: white dress; prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill.
You closed your eyes and had complete and utter faith.
Eventually you grow up. One day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears.
But the thing is, it's hard to let go of that fairytale entirely because almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith,
that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true.
Ahhhhh, I am NEVER giving blood. Terrrrrrified of needles! But I'm always impressed when I hear that someone does it... I literally had a fit when I had to have a tiny bit of blood drawn once *shudders*
I got a thank you card from the blood donation service this morning :) It was quite cute (obviously generic mail out but still...)
With the bone marrow thing, you registar and then they call you when they need you. I believe. I registered about 6 months ago...could get a call in a year, could get one tomorrow

When i went to give blood the other week the blood wasn't flowing out very fast at all and my hands were going numb, so they had to stop it.. it was a bit scary.
My friends and I have a race to see who can donate the fastest every time we go :P
Though we trying to find another place to donate as you can donate every 4 months but for some reason our currently venue only has sessions every 5 months.
I signed up to donate bone marrow but yet to donate as they currently don't need me

yh i'm really looking forwards to it which is odd as i am scared of needles ( apart from peircing and tattoo's ) but i jus think of the fact i'm helping save someone's life of the 5mins i'm in there with a needle in my arm which is like a short time to take out of my life to give someone a longer life i have to leave at 17:15 to walk to the place i'm a little bit worried this time because last time i almost past out because they make u sit up after doing it and my body wasn't use to it, i jus don't want it to happen again this time.
i got a card from the blood people last year to say thanxs for doing it 3times a year i also got a little pin which has the number 10 on it plus my bronze award :10-24 donations card plus a certificate that says i have doing it 10times :)

I think I'm coming up to due sometime as I last donated before christmas. I don't think looking forward to it is the right term but the warm fuzzy feeling is always good.
Only just got back from giving blood and omg, had a funny turn again this time my arm hurts like hell and i almost fainted again so they lowed my head and put my legs up and gave me loads of water, this happen last time i gave blood so i'm booked in to give blood on the 21st of july but dunno if i will go because i this i will never stop giving blood just have a rest for a bit but apart from that i'm ok needle didn't hurt much so that was good but it funny my appointment was 17:30 but didn't get out until 18:45 lol
