Never even crossed my mind

If you asked me this morning about Heroin what could I tell you?
well its class a and its addictive thats about all, if you asked who I thought used it? I'd have told you, hardcore drug abusers, the ones who end up in prison, or in mental centers, or dead.

Me and my boyfriend have had rough times, I havn't been faithful, and its hurt him. The first time I cheated, it hurt him alot, all the trust went, but he stayed with me. Still Heroin never crossed my mind. We had our happy months and our bad ones, some because of me, some because of him. I'm 15, and suffer from major depression, i'v been suicidal, i'v felt sometimes there is no way out. I'v done little things wrong, smoking, drinking way to much and spending my night in first aid, but to me, thats what teens do sometimes. Jack hated it, and we had breaks and weeks where we wern't together. Still heroin never crosses my mind.
Then 3 weeks ago i cheated again, with the guy I did before, this time we had sex. I hid it from him but eventually he found out, of course this tore him apart, we split up, i tried talking but it was like a brick wall. Still this morning Heroin never crossed my mind.
Then, earlier on msn, mid convosation he stops talking, he pauses webcam and is gone half an hour with me worried sick calling him but getting no answer.
Eventually he comes back, he won't tell me where he went, but in the end i phone him and suddenly, everything spills out.
Ever since i first cheated on him, he's been taking heroin.
Every time something went wrong with us, he'd take it. We had a long break over Xmas, he took it daily.
He broke down on the phone to me, asking me to save him, i want to save him, but we are 15 and i am very ill to.
i have told one person, a friend, who is older, and whom i trust, becuase i need him there for me too.

My BF says he is not addicted, but i doubt that, because when something goes wrong in the future, he's gunna need that heroin. He's going broke,if he doesnt pay them they beat him up, he told me he got hurt in rugby, he is paranoid about everything. Also, he has told me one time, it wasnt heroin he injected, he didn't know what it was and thats the scary thing.
I just don't know what to do.

Unfortunately, you cant do anything but encourage him to seek help for htis. Let him know you will help support but that the work has to come from him. He has to want to quit now, before it escalates, because it will.
Try looking up NA and trying to find some groups/meetings.
This will eventually consume him if he doesnt get help now and get out.
Let us know what happens ok?

For You, look into Al-Anon Family Groups. It is an off shoot of Alcoholics Anonmyous, and is a support group for the family and friends of alcoholic addicts.

You can go, no matter if he does or doesn't want help. Being with and around someone like that creates its own problems for you. They will help you understand.

Btw, in an alcoholic in recovery myself, and I've just started going to Al-Anon.

Please PM me if you have any questions, or just want a hug.

*gives you a loving hug*

My husband is my best friend.

In forgiving others, we are not exonerating them. They may not deserve exoneration. Rather, in forgiving others we are giving up our anger over the fact that what happened is not what "should" have happened or that our life is not the way it "should" have been.

Heroin is a real bastard of a drug.
He wont stop for you, but don't take that personally.
Given the choice, heroin will come first.
Get him professional help, it's an impossibly hard thing to overcome on your own.

From your post i get the feeling that you feel guilty about your boyfriend taking heroin- i apologise in advance if i am wrong. It is NOT your fault- it is his individual choice to do so and you did not make him do it. You are obviously very mature and intelligent (not meant in a patronising manner at all, i am being completely sincere) and i'm sure you realise that he will need medical help if he is going to stop taking the drug because it can cause some really nasty withdrawal effects. Could you go with him to your GP? They might be able to put him in contact with substance abuse services.
Are you getting any support yourself? This is a really difficult situation and for you to deal with it on your own without any support for yourself could be pretty dangerous.
I'm sorry i'm not all that useful at the moment, i'm exhausted but feel free to PM me if you want to talk. I've cheated in the past and felt like it was my fault when the person i cheated on took an overdose. I also have a substance abuse problem myself so i can see it from both sides. I really hope you are ok and things get better for both you and him.
Take care
xx
