Not recalling much of psychotic episodes?
Does anyone have this problem... when they are psychotic (i.e. paranoid, hearing voices, etc.) not really recalling the episode in much detail, so you don't realize the seriousness of it? I can remember that I was paranoid or hearing voices at one point, but I can rarely tell you when or how often unless it was very severe or I purposely noticed, I can never tell you what the voices said, and I only vaugely can remember the paranoia... And the intensity of it is forgotten. It seems stupid to even tell anyone cause I can't remember how bad it really was, but reading stuff I wrote or just remembering little things about it lets me know it really was bad and that I really did believe it... So how can I report my symptoms if I don't even know what they are??? Anyone else had this problem?

yep defo. Smoetimes when im psychotic i find myself saying stuff, i dont even remember or mean or it has no relevence. I find myself in places and think i cant even remember getting here, and i get so absorbed in my thoughts i cant even remember stuff like what i am supposed to be doing or what i done a few hours ago.
Looking back on episodes, i can only vaguely remmeber, and not that much really. I think its because find it so disstressing my brain refuses to think about it.

Yes definitely, it doesn't sound stupid at all. I black out alot and after a psychotic episode I rarely remember it vividly, only a vague recollection of voices and loss of control. I should imagine that blacking out at such times is reasonably common. It probably counts as a symptom in itsself so is probably worth mentioning to whoever you see about your mental health problems. *gentle hug*

I struggle to remember stuff.
I've been told it's quite normal not to remember things when you're very ill. You're not alone.

Yeah, I find it's quite scary going back after an episode and looking back at what one has written down. If one has a video camera you can perhaps record what you are saying during the psychotic episode to help you remember, plus you can show it to your doctor or therapist?

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
