Triggering (ED) - Paroxetine Weight Gain

I've been put on paroxetine for my cycling depression/obsessive nature over food.

I've read in the booklet that it can cause weight gain. I asked my GP about it but he just said "yes, it may cause weight gain, but it'll hopefully reduce you're anxiety about it at the same time".

In what way does it cause weight gain (i.e. increased appetite/water retention) and how common is it that it occurs?

I'm going to take the meds regardless because to me my depression is a more important thing to solve than to give into my ED, but was just wondering. Forewarned is forearmed as they say. :)

I never gained weight on paroxetine.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.
