I first put this in my journal but felt like I wanted to share
I think I am really am getting to grips/understand the idea, that recovery is a slow process, one step at a time. Its not going to happen over night and it is going to take a very long time, BUT I can actually see that it is starting to happen over time. I think back to this time last year I was in a spealist locked hospital, being forced meds, refusing food and water and trying to hurt myself at every possible window of oppurtunity. Now I've been out of hospital the longest I've EVER mangaged since I was 15 (first addmission), I am trying with thearpy, I've developed new hobbies that I wouldn't have even considered before, I have more of a routine i.e go to an art group and medical appoiments, in the last 8 months I've only SI twice!, I've started going back to education and going really well with it AND I'm seriously considering going to college next year to do a part time dipolma aquavitant to 3 a-levels, I AM inpendant whatever my family says(well alot more than I used to be anyway) I can travel alone, make phone calls of any type, take care of my own finances, I'm in a long term reletionship and coping very well with it, I AM having days where I'm really enjoying life and finally I am having some days (even if there few and far in between ) where I'm able to appect the person I am, to able to be OK with being me.
****in hell looking at that things really are ****in loads better, I just havn't been able to see it as its slow step by step. But it really is there and I CAN see it. !!!!!!!!!!!!
I AM proud of myself
