RYL shop

I've read past threads on this and have gathered as I'm in the UK it should take up to 3 working days. But still have questions

1. If I order a small amount i.e up 2 3 bracklets, will the post bag, fit through the letterbox (its a average size 1 ) if no-ones at home?

2. And as I read in past posts, at the time of the post people said the thing that says unable till 2nd of september was out of date and shouldn've been taken off. Does this mean its been forgotten about or there is a problem as its still up?

3. Does Saturday count as a working day (in the UK England)? (Ovbiously wondering as the 1st is SIAD.)

Thanks sorry if i've missed something and have still ended up reapeating myself.

it should fit through your door if no one is in, Not sure about your secnd question i think Harleys dad deals with the shop and i think it's running smoothly but don't quote me on that. Saturday isn't classed as a working day working days are Monday to Fridays. Hope that helps

1 - Should fit through fine.
2 - I believe everything is running smoothly now with orders etc, i think it's just a case that Harley has forgotten to take the notice down.
3 - I've had parcels delivered on a Saturday lots of times, so i am assuming it is classed as a working day.

Saturdays aren't generally classed on working days (i.e. with banks and stuff) but I guess it depends on what days Harley's dad wants to work.

I should have been clearer, I meant as in the UK saturday isn't a 'working' day but the post does run, you can recieve and send but sending won't arrive till Monday earlist.

So what I meant to ask is if I order before the post deadline on a saturday will it be sent that day?

sorry if I was unclear

It could be sent out that day and aslong as it's before the last collection it will be sorted. However I don't think it would leave the sorting office until Monday.

It normally comes in a small white jiffy bag that can fit through the letter box. I can't see it being different this time. (I've ordered 2 bracelets before)

And yes that 2nd of September date is from last year.

Hope that answers your questions :)

Sorry another question, once you brought something from the shop, will it debit your account instantly or when Harley's Dad sees the order (heard he looks after the shop) which could be Monday?

Not sure on that one. Think it would probably be when he gets the order.

Sorry, I've been slow picking up on this thread, but to answer some of your questions:

Orders and payments are normally received by Harley who then passes details of the order on to me for despatch. I like to get orders into the post within 24 or 48 hours - very occasionally longer if we're out of, say, a particular bracelet.

If people PM me regarding, say, a wrong size or broken bracelet I'll normally deal with that direct without re-involving Harley. But I'll always need exact details of the order and a name and address to send to - it really is so quick and simple by PM.

Orders are normally sent in plain white Jiffy bags measuring about 6" by 9". Sometimes a size larger for larger orders. There are no markings of any description on the packages to identify them with RYL - just the recipients name and address. And for those who are worried about any sort of package (however bland) arriving at their home, we are quite happy to send to a friend or neighbour - all we need is a name and address to send to. We fully understand the sensitivities that exist between some SHers and their families.

Orders are sent First Class - in UK using a First Class Large stamp (because the thickness of the package almost always exceeds 5mm). Orders overseas go by First Class airmail. UK orders seem normally to be delivered in 24 - 48 hours but last post of the week out of here is on Saturday morning and it won't be delivered before Monday. Delivery time overseas is totally beyond our control, all we can do is post it with the correct postage in good time - if, then, the little man running across the desert in Bongo-Bongoland with the package in a cleft stick takes a week to get there then so be it. We are at least thinking of him - and you!

And to end on a note of reassurance, most orders get safely and quickly to their destinations. So too will yours ...

And finally, my recurring cry, if there are any orders still outstanding (from last September or whenever) please let me have the details so that I can get things squared away. I hope, when I die, on my tombstone they'll be able to say "RYL orders were complete"! Though Gawd knows what the correct postage will be!

Tony.

Never surrender.
