is it possible?

is it possible to be diagnosed both with bpd and ocd? because in bpd you do impulsive things, whereas in ocd, you are compulsive.

You can be dx with both yes.
I have only just got up or I would try and reply with more but I'm still puffy eyed!
But yes, both can be seperatly diagnosed.

i'm tired of chasing my dreams.
i'm just gonna ask where they're going,
and hook up with them later.

One of the 9 diagnosing criteria for BPD is impulsiveness, that's not to say every BPD person is, seeing as you only need 5 of the 9.

Just an example. An OCD person might be obsessive about washing their hands or turning the light off and on again 10 times, but yet still might go and spend £500 impulsively, or go out and have a one night stand on a whim (sorry, not great examples, but what I could come up with).

I dunno. I'm no doctor, but I don't see why a person can't do some things compulsively and others impulsively.

Wake me up before I change again
Remind me the story that I won't get insane
Tell me why it's always the same
Explain me the reason why I'm so much in pain.

I've got BPD and have had OCD tendancies in the past and from my experiences they feel completely different. With OCD its more you have to do something and you cant stop thinking about it until you've done it and with BPD you just do something without thinking about the consequences.
I'm not expert but i'm pretty sure you can be dx with both.

Pretty much 100% positive that you can be. Its not uncommon to have a dual diagnosis actually.
