Now obviously it's an annual thing and I'd forgotten exactly when the money was going to come out of my account. But does RYL have a list of when subscriptions are paid to them? And if so would it be possible for people to be reminded a few days before payment would be taken. A lot of us have to manage our money extremely carefully wether that be because we are financially independant or receive a monthly allowance off parents (so the entire age range of members could be affected by this issue) and to have money suddenly disappearing from your account could well take someone past their overdraft limit and land them with bank charges or could just generally throw their budget out of whack.

no that relevant but anyway, i got fined £50 in bank charges as save the children took theie money and left me overdrawn by something like 99p.

so yeah, i dont think many places do, do they?

If you use paypal, you can change it to e-cheque, because then it will let you know when they take it out (it takes 7 days) and again when payment has been completed.

This way you get a weeks notice for the money to come out.

But it says you used a credit card so i duno.

If you recieve messages from RYL & use paypal, you should have gotten something like this:

Ok, mystery solved, there must have been a glitch in the system meaning mine didn't get sent. But glad to know such emails exist

As far as i know you only get the emails if you pay with paypal

And it isn't a credit card anyhow it's a debit card that my paypal account is linked to, weird.

"Yours sincerely, PayPal" I assumed that meant she was. And besides, the acknowledgment that money's gonna come out of your account comes from Harley, not directly from paypal.

I did check my junk messages as I didn't want to post a thread then look like a **** for actually having received such an email!

Mine just came out too, and I didn't get an e-mail saying that it was going to come out. I checked my bank account and was short and I was like ...okay? only to see a week later that my subscription had been renewed. Frustrating, really. I must've slipped through the cracks too. xD

Maybe send an e-mail to one of the mods and have them check to see if things are still properly entered?

What I do for things like that is put it on my google calendar and have it repeat yearly.

So, that could be worth checking into.
