Can Anybody Help?
I Dont know what the point in the post is, im just a lil confused so i thought yas might have some ideas on whats goin on for me:)
So lately, well about 6 months its been going on. I keep getting like a pounding heartbeat and it feels like i cant breathe, knots in my belly and i start to shake and i get really nervous i just want to cry. But i get it all the time.
And i have like these little hallucination [i dont know if thats the right word] were i just sit in the mirror and talk as if im talking to somebody, but its kinda both side of the conversation. Its werid.
But i only ever talk about stuff i think i need to be, like to do with my SI, but it might be cos i never will talk about it?
And ive always kind of had "imaginary" friends. Im popular, i have friends so i dont know why i make up these ones tbh. Like ill go into college and my mates will be like so what did you do last night, and ill say i did something with one of the people that just arent real :S Its not normal is it?
Feels like im kinda living a lie tbh.
but i believe the lies at the same time.
Dunno im just confused.
and i bet i sound totally crazy now.
sorry if i posted this in the wrong place aswell ..

The pounding heart, feeling like you can't breathe etc is most likely a panic attack. You can actually have panic attacks without being consciously aware of being nervous or panicky, usually the sub conscious mind picks up on something and goes into the fight or flight response which is a panic attack, your body is literally responding to a perceived threat and is getting ready to run.
Although you should still see a doctor to rule out anything else, and to talk to him about the mirror conversations.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.

Sounds like a panic attack to me. As Sarah (control freak) has stated, you can have panic attacks without actually being panicked/triggered.
You should definatly speak to your GP though. X

*hug*
I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder about a year and a half ago. Before that, i'd never had a panic attack in my life - or atleast not one i could remember.
Now i live with several on a daily basis, during bad periods i can have just one panic attack lasting days which i have to get meds for to control.
Panic attacks can be quite frightening, especially when you aren't use to them or even know what they are. But from what you've described i'm pretty sure you're suffering from ongoing panic attacks.
I'm in the process (being a bit slow at the moment) of writing an article on Anxiety which will hopefully be published in the Advice section of RYL. So keep an eye out for it. You may find it quite useful.
If the panic attacks are starting to in anyway effect parts of your life it might be worth speaking to your GP to see what he suggests.

Im sorry your suffering so much and it really does sound like speaking to a doctor might be really useful right now but i know that it can be hard.
Be brave and good luck if you decide to go!And remember we are here for you either way and i really do hope that things start to improve for you again soon.

i do not always manage to be around but i wish you all the very best - love and luck to you all!
