It is possible that you may have food poisoning. Symptoms usually start 5-12 hours or so after eating the infected piece of food, and will give you diarrhoea and vomiting as well as possibly fevers and feeling generally unwell. Viral gastroenteritis will give similar symptoms, although the fact that you ate this burger the previous day would make that a bit of a coincidence. The important thing is to avoid dehydration by drinking plenty of water. Sipping small sips frequently is more likely to stay down than drinking by the glass-ful. It is best to avoid taking any medicine to settle diarrhoea, such as imodium, as the diarrhoea is the body's way of getting rid of the infection and it basically needs to come out. You can take paracetamol for fevers and stomach pains, if you are able to keep it down. If you are not starting to feel better in the next day or two you should see your GP and take a stool sample which they can send to the lab and test for infection. Antibiotics are rarely needed for gastro infections.

I don't know the first time I felt unbeautiful
The day I chose not to eat
What I do know is how I changed my life forever
Now I know I deserve better
