Maybe it would be better for her to wait for a meet further in the future when she has been a member for a while ?

Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.

Agrees.

It says in the meet rules that they must be a known member of RYL and joining specifically to go to a meet isnt allowed i dont think.

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.

I think you have to have been an active member for a couple of months?

I dont think people should join specifically to go to meets.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

Due to legal reasons, all other attendees have to be 15 or over. Also, all who attend RYL Meets must be RYL members and known to the community - members are asked not to bring along non RYL friends; this is because we cannot control the behaviour or safety of someone who is not part of RYL and inviting non RYL members may introduce unsavoury characters who could endanger RYL’ers.
In the rules, yo.

yes .... if the mods suspected that someone joined RYL and randomly posted lots of quick posts just so that they'd be eligible to go to an RYL Meet, then that is something that would be seriously frowned upon by the moderators, and its highly likely that if this were the case, that the person would probably still be denied attendance at the RYL Meet.

The rules and guidelines about having a certain post count to be able to attend RYL Meets, and being known and active members of the RYL Community, are rules which have been set in place to protect the safety and well-being of all RYLers who choose to attend these Meets .... so these rules are not something that the moderators take lightly.

I hope that makes our position clearer.
