Overdose/ Self-Poisoning Question - not sure if i can

I have several tablets downstairs and have been feeling really shity today. i'm not sure if i'm allowed to ask but what will happen if you take alot of tablets that are contraceptive tablets "the pill".

I want to know what would happen if i took them all. I also have loads of painkillers for period pain. I'm worried i'm back to square one again where i was months ago. i hate it. they are there and i need them during the month so can't chuck thm out but i'm scared.

Don't take the tablets. I know i can't stop you but i can make you think.
I don't think i can elaborate what those tablets can do to youbecause that may be seen as tip sharing.

but what i can say is that it is going to cause just as much damage.
What about everybody who loves you, Those who have supported you on here and been there for you.
They would be hurt everybody if something bad happened to you, Even i would be upset.. I would wonder. Did i not try hard enough; Was my advice pointless.

You may think you hit rock bottom, But just like everybody else has said. You CAN get through this tough time even though it will be hard!

Just keep them hidden downstairs and stay entertained.
Take care of yourself

Jess

They are hidden down stairs but i still want to take them. I don't have anyone who loves me, well they may say they do but there just words and don't really mean anything. Not anymore.

Hey

has something triggered you to feel this low?

Taking more than the reccommended amout of the contraceptive pill can result in:
  • Excessive vaginal bleeding (2-7 days following the overdose)
  • Breast tenderness
  • Discoloration of urine
  • Rash
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Headache
  • Drowsiness
  • Mental changes
If you are concerned about the painkillers and the risk of you taking too many then please flush them down the toilet or give them to someone.

Please talk to us and try not to take any pills

jane x

Hey.
Maybe try thinking to yourself, what will you gain by taking them? Is it really worth it?
Maybe try distracting yourself? Go for a walk, take a bath, watch a film, talk to someone on the phone.
Its really not worth damaging your body for it.
*hugs*

Take care
Kim

The thing is though at them moment it does seem worth it. It seems easier as i won't haveto deal with anything. I keep isolating myself from people as i like to be on my own and thats all i want to be on my own.

I'm wathcing tv right now but it's not really helping.

Thanks for posting.

Well by taking the tablets dosn nessacirly mean that you will be alone. You will still have to deal with stuff, except you will have the added stress of doing it while you dont feel well.

You should talk to people, even if its hard. where not made to live on our own. *hugs* However, if you want to be alone, as I said, a bath is a great place for this. Take a drinkin with you and a book. Or even put some music on in your room and chill out.

an OD is unlikely to kill you but it can do serious damage to your body which will cause you a lot of pain and your family a lot of emotional pain.

Part of you doesnt want to OD which is why you have posted for support, listen tothat part of you

make the part of you that doesnt stronger, what about writing a list of your goals in life, things you wouldlike to do.

what about admitting yourself into a hospital?

Things will get better for you.Sometimes we have to do things we dont want to do to be happy which may involve talking to family members about problems
