1. Monday - a client emails someone bitching about me and saying I was "USUAL BULLSHIT". Not sure he meant to send it to me though. Anyway, the thing is he is clueless that I have saved the arse of someone else in the firm and their slackness and sorted everything. Do I get thanks for my minor miracle? No, instead I get slagged off.
2. Tuesday - the Claimant's medical expert (psychiatrist at Cassel of all people) somehow doesn't understand civil procedure rules. I explain, perfectly politely but for some reason he takes it out on me and emails me a really arsey email - not experienced this in 30 years, blah, blah, busy clincs at Cassel. For ****s sake, he didn't even address the email to me, just launched into a tirade of abuse. The bright side I supose is that at least my psych isn't that bad
3. Tuesday - Helping to resolve a query re an outstanding invoice. not my job but helping out. No-one else having taken responsibility. Not good enough and the woman on the 'phone proceeds to actually shout. i had to say to her "You're giong to have to stop shouting in order that you can hear me explaining how to progress the issue"
4. Wednesday - The best yet. Due to my difficulties etc, I took a step down at work in November and became a paralegal instead of a solicitor. The firm cancelled my practising certificate (need this in order to legally practise as a solicitor). The SRA (regulatory body) write to me asking me why holding myself out as solicitor. Me think they are just being dim. Work writes back, explains that I'm not practising as a solicitor. The result? A letter arrives today Dear Miss... In the light of the information supplied and that you are working as a "paralegal", we found you in breach. Continuing breach will result in referral to the disciplinary panel. How on earth am I supposed to be in breach when I am working as a paralegal not a ****ing solicitor.
Who wants to be next?
Sorry, turned out to be a bit of a rant.
