ive read that its about epilepsy and bipolar, but i have neither of them. my mum told me that if i drink alcohol with it, i can have an episode of epilepsy. anyone knows anything about it?

i have bipolar and got on really well with carbamazepine but was told i couldn't have quetiapine with it - something about increased liver clearance. So i'm on trileptal as a mood stabilizer, but i just feel it doesn't have the oomph-factor that carbamazepine has. I keep trying to get the doctor to take me off it but he says that it will affect my illness negatively, i don't know. I feel pretty rubbish on it and have been on it for almost 6 months!
