Impossible Task...?!?!

I have an impossible task... PLEASE help! If you can. It's for my sanity =]

I have a song in my head and it is going round and round and distracting me. And I don't know what it is =[

I only ever hear this song when I'm out clubbing/dancing. I don't know what it's called, who it's by or any words at all. I have tried humming it but not well enough for people to be able to tell me what it is! The sound of it is SO clear in my head but.... alas!

NOW, it sounds a bit like Fat Man Scoop, but it doesn't repeat 'Fat Man Scoop, Crooklyn Clan' so I am assuming it is not actually him. It also sounds a bit like Chingy.

Any ideas/advice??! Who else sounds like Fat Man Scoop? Thank you!!

i dont know... i think it is a fairly new song.

you know the chilli peppers song where it says 'give it away give it away give it away now'? .... the chorus tune sounds like that, sung by a black rapper with a dancey bassline behind it lol.

Right, I've youtubed soulja boy and its not him either... it's no one who repeats their name like 20 times at the beginning of the song!

Sounds sort of like Mims.

It's def not Kid Cudi (I love that song!) or Akon....

This is driving me mad.

Thank you for your help. I have spent 2 days on youtube so far trying to find it. It's really popular cos everytime it came on (went to three clubs, they all played it) everyone went 'yyyyyeah!' lol. =/

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm this is proving to be a toughy, so its like a dance/rap song .. hmmm....

cud u ask anyone that as in the clubs with you? have u heard of shazam? its this thing were u ring 2580 hen a songs on, it records for so many seconds n then hangs up and texts u the name of the song, might be worth trying that next time u hear it

RIGHT... I've sort of found the song - it's on skins, series 3, episode 2, where effie/eppy/whatever her name is, is dancing on the boat thing. BUT I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS....... Don't spose anyone knows else does? I guess I will have to shazam it! Thanks for the link =]
