Haha! I totally have the same thing. Actually, when I started learning to relax and deal with anxiety and manic-type stuff, it got a little better. but the more you tell it to shut the hell up the worse it gets! And it sometimes says such nasty things :)
Do you have anxiety issues or bi polar? My pysch had some excellent ideas on how to quiet the voice a bit when I talked to her about it.

I thought everyone had this little voice in their head?

I hear it everyday, my own voice...it argues with me like it's the other half of me. It wont shut up but I just have to deal with it.

You need to be careful with meditation, for me mantra meditation was one of the things that nearly sent me over the edge.
After quite a few years with it being away doing other things, the Voice came back over the past few weeks. Its calmed down now, now I'm back in therapy. For me, managing it means understanding it's unique symbolic language.

I always fight with my inside voice
Whether it's over a little decision, or a huge one, little - what to watch, huge - go to school or not, go out or not, do the checks or not, these are pretty much big to me. A main source of anxiety.

Yes, everyone has an inside voice. Or an internal monologue.

I only get annoyed when I get a word stuck in my head and I'm repeating it over and over and over. Or a song.

Yeah. I hear my voice inside my head alot. It annoys the hell out of me too haha. I plan conversations in my head, or itll analyse stuff, decisions etc to the point of sillyness. I can sometimes make it shut up by just staring into space and conciously making an effort to not think. clear my mind. and it works sometimes. i zone out. which can sometimes be a problem in itself. lol.

The broken bones they heal no more, no more
With my last breath I’m choking
Will this ever end? I'm hoping
My world is over one more time

I'm always fighting with mine too, it's frustrating. If you want it to stop it's good to try thought stopping techniques where you simply say "stop" every time you start to think about something that you'd rather not.

Yup annoys me too.
Can be quite amusing to argue with other something stupid though.

See I cannot feel this, not matter how you try and in the real world, there's no goodbyes.

Yeah... When that happens I light a scented candle (jasmon or lavender, my favorites) and blast music as loud as possible until it stops...

Thank you Smophy for asking that question! I didn't know if I was weird or not for hearing it, arguing with it, or having full on conversations with it. It's nice to know others hear it too.

I hear my internal voice and also argue with it etc but it is internal. I also hear other voices and they aren't in my head if you get what I mean, it's as if someone is talking to me from outside my head. That isn't normal but because I have insight that the otherr voices can't be real, it isn't psychosis but something called pseudo-hallucinations. I hate that term though because sometimes it is so difficult to differentiate them from real life and just because it isn't psychosis doesn't make it any easier to deal with. Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now.

When you feel like your thoughts aren't yours, that they are being planted in your head, and you don't have control over them, or if you start to hear other voices too.
