Discussion topics.
Hi. I'm not meant to be here. You can't see me. It's your imagination.
But I was thinking - how about in the Forums, like for the specific support ones, every week we had a thread on a topic done by the Supporters or the CT (idk which) to get some kind of discussion going?
This method is used in another forum I'm on and it works really well for bringing the community together. So for on RYL, for instance, it could be:
Week 1; Self-Injury Support and Advice; "How did people react when you told them about SI?"
Week 2; Abuse and Bullying Support; "What feelings about your abuse do you struggle with the most?"
Or something like that.
Basically getting people together, talking about something, sharing tips/supporting and hopefully bringing us all closer.
This could be a really lame idea and maybe should've gone in the CT board but wth.
Um yeah.

Very cool idea, Chels...erm I mean random figment of my imagination! =D <3
I really like this idea, possibly because I love guided journaling that has questions to get you thinking and usually end up discussing the really good questions between my friends.

This needs to be run by Chloe if you'd like the Supporters involved. She's not back until the end of the month. In the meantime, Cam [random.swirls], the Deputy Head, is managing things. You might like to run this by her.

Hmmm I'm not so sure Chels, I can see the rationale behind it, but it just seems a bit controlling. Also many members already post such threads and get really good discussions and support going, so I'm not quite sure what this idea would offer that such threads don't already

agree.
at least with SI ones i'm sure most of the questions have already been asked and i think it's up to members to ask them, not the ct.
