Too much energy!!!

This may come across as a bit odd to you.

I am not entirely sure where to post this but here goes.

I am hyperactive. Was diagnosed at six years old and still have it.

I can't go for a walk because my Mum doesn't want to come and she says its too late to go by myself (its dark and the streets are poorly lit). I can't go for a run for the same reason, anyway I only ate dinner a couple of hours ago.

I did some of my kickboxing exercises.

But I still have so much energy! I can't sit still!

What should I do if I can't go out?

I've got so much energy! My legs are moving even while I am sitting on this chair.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

Thanks lil'esky, good idea.

I think having a bath might help as well.

Damn hyperactivity. I want to run three miles.

The bath did help. I have just eaten some cereal so I can go running at around 10.30. I can't wait to go running.

You on new meds or a higher dose? Sounds like activation phase symptoms off hand.

I'm on a higher dose. What are activation phase symptoms?

I'm still hyper. I ran too soon after taking my meds so my muscles seized up and it didn't work. On top of that, I think I have a sports injury.

Thhis may sound a little silly but my nephew is ADHD (and on the autistic spectrum etc, only 9 so still undergoing some of the diagnostic tests via CAMHS). At school, they would give him things like pieces of blue-tac etc to fiddle with whilst supposed to sit down to try and keep him still a little. I'm not ADHD or anything but have very similar difficulties to my nephew and find that having elastic bands to fiddle with if I have to stay still a useful way to calm me a little. I also try to walk, run or whatever. Try and stay off the caffeine etc also.

Hyperkinetic disorder and ADHD are closely related. Some people say they're the same thing, but my concentration span is too good for ADHD.

I find myself going out even when the paranoia/hallucinations are bad because being inside for a morning makes me physically ill.

I went for a run today, which helped.

But its becoming a wrestling match between my paranoia stopping me from going out and my excess energy making me go out.

I end up walking the streets freaked out to no end, but still walking.

No Reason, thanks for the post. I fiddle quite a lot.

Lil'esky, I agree! I wish I could send my legs to go for a run while my top body stays at home.

I did some aerobics stuff in my bedroom and went for a run. Now I suddenly have a deficit of energy.

I get like that sometimes when I'm on a mania.... try running or bouncing a ball off your garage door and trying to catch it. Swimming laps, maybe?

I usually go running or go to the gym.

I'm on a low now so I'm at home on the net.
