I was wondering last night about why the first aiders don't have colours like the mods and chat mods.
And I kinda wondered if it might be a good idea for them to have coloured user-names because I've noticed a fair amount of threads in the FAF asking if a first aider is online so they can PM.
I know there's the list of who's online at the bottom, and I had a look at it once when I knew a first aider was online, but I found it a bit difficult to pick out the name among all the others and I wondered if it would make it a bit more obvious and easier to spot if they had colours.
Anyways, what do other people think and the first aiders and everyone?
I'm going to (attempt to) make a poll as part of this post to see if other people think it a good idea.

Purple is the supporters colour ;) although the names arent purple....it can be confusing but yeah...x

I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
It has the potential to get very confusing if we're going to have three different colours on the forum list, I think it might really confused new members about who they can turn to. As it is the two colours are both some form of moderator, but if we're adding a third colour that arn't moderators it's only going to confuse things, I feel.

I couldn't think of a different way to phrase it. sorry.
I know it would only show if they was online, but looking for a colour in the list of users currently online is easier than looking for a name, esp. if you aren't sure of the name.

Very true. I don't know who all the forum and mods are but if i needed one quick i could just look down and if there was a red or green username i'd know there was a mod who could help online.
bareing in mind, that green mods are chat mods, and have no forum powers, the same way forum mods dont have chet powers. unless your shannon (day tripper) who is both a forum and a chat mod.

If there are no forum mods online and it's urgent, then if a Chat mod's on PM them. They have the power to ban people [e.g. a troll was spamming links of pictures of Self Injury or something]. If it's not urgent, then post-report it.

I know the difference. I just missed out the word chat by accident. Obviously red for froum and green for chat. Whichever is appropriate at the time.

This is something in discussion. IT has been in discussion with the team for sometime and the stance of the First Aid Advisors has been decided (I am unsure on what to say about this because there is a limit to how much I can say) but it is now out of my hands to do anything further. But yeh, there are reasons both for and against colours and it has been discussed prior to now.
Sometimes FAAs aren't always noticeable if they are online or not for a number of reasons also so if you're unsure then PM a couple of us.
