For my tolerance level based on my height and weight, my risk for developing dependency is very high, and risk for developing dependency due to family background is high...
I also learned that my Blood Alcohol Content has been between .15-.20% fairly regularly (mostly .15%), and on one occasion towards the .30 region...
FYI:
.15% Balance and movement are substantially impaired. The person has difficulty walking or talking in a normal fashion. Heavy drinkers with a substantial tolerance to alcohol may learn to look sober at this level. At this BAC, about one half pint of whiskey is circulating in the bloodstream. A person driving at this level is 25 times more likely to cause a fatal car crash.
.20% At this level, a person is about 100 times more likely to cause a fatal car crash if he or she drives. In a normal person, this BAC level is likely to cause a kind of amnesia known as an "alcohol blackout" in which the person cannot recall what happened.
.30% Many People lose consciousness, falling asleep or passing out. One in one hundred people (1%) die at this BAC level. Individuals who have a high tolerance to alcohol may remain conscious at much higher levels. Such a high tolerance is a serious risk factor for health problems.
The fact that I was close to .30% really scared me...It only happened once or twice, but still...and the fact that I've been blacking out a lot lately...

I don't know why I felt the need to post this, but...*shrug* I just want to avoid all social situations now so I don't get tempted to drink (b/c that's when it's hard for me to stop)...but I still feel the need to drink at home out of boredom/lonliness.
I also learned that, if you're a fairly heavy drinker, you tend to experience alcohol's depressive effects as opposed to stimulating effects...That explains why I get so emotional/self-depricating when I drink...
I feel like such a loser. Why do I need this as a crutch?
