Triggering (SI/Substance abuse) - How do you know???
How do you know when you have an alcohol problem? I think that I do but I'm not sure...

If you think you do then you probably do. If you have any concerns regarding your alcohol intake regardless of how much you actually drink then this is a problem. Have you tried to stop ? If you need help doctors can help you to withdraw from alcohol and can offer support groups/people through withdrawal

Yes I have tried stopping but it seems like I end up relapsing and everytime its worse...

Alcohol problems are very hard to overcome and your not alone in the relapsing. It is extremely difficult to remove alcohol from your life and quit. You can get help from doctors or independant groups. I know you may feel a little odd at first going to somewhere for the treatment of alcoholism but they will take you in open arms. No matter what age or the extent of your problem there are people who can help you .
My friend was 16 when she was drinking and it didn't get to being a full blown alcoholic but was a serious problem, she did get help from a group, and there are plenty out there. I don't know how things work in Canada, is there any advice centres you could go to , or visit the doctor.

I expect there is probably other groups as well that don't seem as in intense but maybe AA is a good starting point to get help, even if they cant help you they should be able to refer you to a less intense group if needs be
|
