Fed up with CAMH and nervous

I've jsut turned 18 and CAMH ( child and adolesant mental health service) said they have to hand me over to the adult service at some point this year, which is fine but i havent had an appoitment with anyone for 2 months
And the same thing happened over summer i went 3 months without an appoitment and my medication for depression wasn't working

My friend has post traumatic stress disorder really badly and she's been left for 20 weeks without anything because she's met to be being refered to another service

I'm scared of letting myself get transfered through the services incase they forget about me like they have before...

Im sorry your having a rought time with this can you talk to someone there and explain that your worried about not getting any help.
And if worst comes to the worst and you are in adult services and not getting help then could you go to your gp and explain the situation and see if they will get in touch and try make sure something gets sorted.

Oh i hate camhs ! that's rubbish you haven't seen anyone for so long, you could call and just say you need to make an appointment sooner than whenever your next one is, and as miss pixie said go back to your GP and complain about them ! I think you just have to keep on at them.

i think alot of the problems everywhere at the mo is lack of staff........which is no excuse.

my new yrs resolution is to phone up the cmht who have currently ignored me for a month so perhaps you need to do the same....be brave and take the initiative...you never know the cmht may be much different and better for you..... i had a lovely care worker and felt so lucky, but she left so i gotta start again with her.
it all depends on whether you click with the person but you can always ask for someone different. dont give up hope sweetie and dont take no for an answer
