what's open tomorrow -apart from the shops!
Well, I do have a £10 book token to spend, so I may shop visit.
But I'm desperate to get out of the flat and do something, before I, you know, lose it completely.
Museums and such seem to be closed tomorrow.
Any ideas?

Thanks. :)
I don't think walking to the South Bank/W1 from out North West is the best best idea foot wise, though!

There's no Jubilee or Met line. :(
I'll walk to my local Borders instead!

My thoughts exactly!
Katie, is shopping rather hectic over there for you tomorrow? I know we have massive boxing day sales which draw huge crowds.

Yes!
Most of the large, large sales start on the 27th, but yes, an awful lot of shops seem to be opening today, so it's going to be crazy :)
Katie, what about just going for a long walk? Whereabouts NW are you - what about going up to Alexandra Palace, and having a walk around there? Even if you can't get in, it's a beautiful walk, and you can see all over London.
What did you decide on in the end?

I went to Borders, and bought some books with book tokens and the remains of my present money. It's opposite Brent Cross, but not IN Brent Cross. You wouldn't have got me in there today!

We tried to just buy some food today.
All four supermarkets around us? Shut. We walked for almost 3 hours in the cold for nothing! BUT we did have a lovely natter as we walked so it wasn't all bad. In the end we had to get the cats food from the BP garage at the end of our road, and then I fried Christmas leftovers with an egg and some boiled potatoes for tea and I'm about to put the rest of the apple pie and custard on for tea.
I REFUSE to go into central london to buy food, especially with the hundreds of sales and mental shoppers!

Absolutely!
Our Somerfield's was open yesterday. I popped in to get my lunch for work today. It was ok in there, not too bad at all.
But for some reason Matalan car park was full at 9.30am. I don't know where all the cars had come from. Surely they can't all have been in Matalan!
