Raising bp and pulse rate?

Anyone have advice on raising your bp and/or pulse rate?

I've always had low readings on those, but lately it's been getting lower and lower... and it makes me feel really dizzy, and I don't like it... like right now, my pulse is only 44 bpm, which I'm pretty sure isn't exactly healthy... normal resting pulse for me is 55-57 (which is lower than normal, but the doctors said it's probably cuz I exercise so much).

Your blood pressure will rise as you get older. I hope the link below helps.

The body is essentially a machine, and the better shape all of the pieces are in, the more efficiently it runs, and the less fuel it needs. This means that your heart doesn't need to beat as fast to keep everything working.

However, if you are feeling sick and dizzy, you need to speak with your doctor. If you are eating right and staying hydrated and you still feel sick your doctor may want to run some tests to make sure that everything is ok. If you are taking any medications sometimes they can affect your pulse and blood pressure also.

Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.

its really not a good sign for your BP to be that low. is your doctor perscribing anything for it, there is meidcation to help raise your BP but obviously a doctor needs to perscribe this.

Well I take amphetamines (prescribed) and supposedly a side effect of those is that it's supposed to give you higher bp and pulse (not the main reason I take them, but the dr's considered this an added benefit)... my cardiologist has been trying medications too, but I stopped taking what he had me on as it was making my bp drop way way way too low and causing me to pass out more instead of less... it was one of the side effects of the medication, cuz I've got a couple heart disorders (a prolapsing valve that we recently found out has gotten worse, and some neuro-cardio syncope thing, where my heart and brain don't communicate as they should), and he said this medication could help, but to monitor it... so I did, and it was getting too low, so I stopped, but even without that medication it's been low lately.

I still feel a bit sick and dizzy today, tho not quite as bad. Had I not had to go get a friend last night, I probably would have called an ambulance cuz I felt horrible, and it was difficult to breathe, but I'm doing a bit better now, at least I'm breathing okay.
