Washington State to Celebrate Festivus

For the past two days of Fox and Friends, they have been covering the story that Washington state (US) will be adding Festivus to their holiday celebrations. Yes, we are talking about Festivus from the Seinfeld show that mainly consists of "the airing of greivances." The governement of Washington was petitioned to include a "Festivus Pole" in the holiday festivities.

For the past two days everyone has been bent out of shape over this. I personally think it's not a big deal and people should get over it. What do you guys think?

That isn't exactaly what they are doing. There is a lot more to this story than it seems.

Basically, a nativity scene was put up at the capital, then an Atheist group said "hey if the christians get a nativity, we should get something" so they put up a sign. The sign was then stolen, and I'm not sure if it's been replaced or not yet. Since then, a bunch of other people have been requesting additional religious displays and enough people asked for a Festivus pole the state is going to display one along with all the other stuff.

It doesn't actually mean the state is celebrating it.

Lol, I live in WA, and I've never heard about about that. Wouldn't put it past people here though, there's definitely some crazies around.
