Typical (old) antipsychotics - experiences?
My psych said I may have to try typical antipsychotics. Typical antipsychotics are the older ones like Haloperidol and Chlorpromazine.
Has anyone tried these? Did they help? How bad where the side-effects?
Thanks in advance.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.
I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

You'll be surprised to know how far you can go from the point where you thought it was the end.

Steel,
We've been on quite a few anti-psychotics. Olanzapine, Chlorpromazine being two older ones.
Olanzapine made us drowsy and fat and Chlorprom really helped. Though when we had chlorpromazine with quietiapine our heart almost stopped.
So that wasn't so good.

Thanks all.
Tomorrowwillcome, I'm struggling, but I'm still alive, so hey.
I have been given Trifluoperazine as an option.
I had a blood test today which will decide whether I stay on the Clozapine or if I go onto a new medication. The results will come back on Thursday.
Thank you for your help.
