SI Question - Am I at higher risk medically?

hiya.. you alright.

im not sure if this is the correct place to be asking this, but it is kind of medical... oh i dont know.. but here it goes anyway;

i've been coming up with these bruises all over my body lately, an i don't even have to knock myself. But when I do knock into something small, i seem to get these big massive bruises about, just from a little knock. and they turn purple, black, green, and blue - abit muliti - coloured really!
Henyway's ive had a blood test taken and im just waiting to hear back from them.
but while im waiting, i just got thinking, if that means i were to get knocked over, or i were to accidently slip and fall down a flight of stairs or out of a window when leaning out of a 3rd floor flat.. because of the lack of iron i hold within my blood-cells, would that mean im at much higher risk than somebody that doesn't suffer with a lack of iron in their blood from dying from that fall, from being knocked over?

please could someone inform me...

many thanks, Sammy

You'd have to wait till your doc gets back to you with your results, i'm not sure what causes easy bruising, anemiea? Hmm, i'm not sure, have to wait for a First aider.

Do you plan on falling out of a window any time soon?

Take care. x

On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

There is a disease which causes easy bruising, hate to worry you but it's effectively a form of lukemia and it's very rare. Thus, being as it is so rare, it's unlikely that's what's affecting you. My Grandmother has the disease, there's only two or three people in the whole of Australia with it, and even less in the UK!

Wait for your doctor to get back to you, if there's anything wrong with you they'll phone immediately - so don't worry!

There are many resons for bruising easily. Iron is indeed one of the most common, but not the only one.
I would not worry to much about being at a worse risk of injury. If a fall was serious enough to cause considerable damage, you would require the same treatment with or without any complications with your blood.
Although you bruise easily, it does not mean that it is something which will put your life at risk.

Just be careful when leaning out of those windows. Not something you want to go expiremneting with.

Take care
