Wound Care - Allergic?

Ok, well i recently cut, it's a gaper, but not a bad one, just around half a cm, so i bought some steri strips earlier, i cut 2 steri strips in half so each one was about this length "-------------" And put the 4 pieces over the gap, sealing the wound, it held and it was ok.

Then after like 20 minutes of it being on my arm (In that area) got really hot, and a tiny bit itchy.

I have no known allergies, and i've used things like this before i think, i've not used steri strips for years and years, but they were used for a head injury, am i allergic to them?

What does the are a look like now? is it still hot and itchy? Are there hives? has the warmth or itchyness spread at all?

I haven't taken them off, only have a few more,when i look at it, it's not overly red for a fresh cut (I know you've got to give it a few days for the redness and heat etc to go away, but it's just happened as soon as i put them on, and it's not normal for me)

It's still only a little bit itchy, like i want to itch but don't have to. And it's still reddish and hot as hell.

Edit: And no, there's not hives and the warmth is still just around the area.
