Overdose/ Self-Poisoning Question - Trouble urinating? :x

I overdosed on an otc sleep aid yesterday, have drank lots of liquids and haven't had to pee for hours..this isn't normal for me. I can go if I force myself, but I don't have to. Only reason I'm worried is I googled an OD on this and it listed urinary retention as a side effect to be reported to a doctor..I don't intend on seeing a doctor unless its serious. I have no other symptoms, just this. Any advice?

ok sweetheart all i can really suggest that u go to the doctors or hospital just to get cheaked out if u would like if u pm me maybe explain a bit about the pills and i can try to help as best i can otherwie the only option really is the hospital or doctors sorry i'm not much help hun

Just by going off of what is in most OTC sleep aids in the US, I would say that is a definite side effect of the OD. Your body will use more liquids to process out all of the med, and you may retain some fluid.

You should worry about urinary retention if you need to go and can't. If that happens, they you will need to see a doctor right away.
