do i have BPD??

I have been reading about BPD and I think I have some symptoms of it. but i dont want to go to my doctor and be like do i have bpd cos he already thinks im an absolute tosser! what should i do? any ideas? xx

It's tragic; you tried to cut yourself in half,
But this isn't magic; in fact it's something much more dark, or more dramatic
Self harm, that’s what they call it.
'Cause it just affects you.
It's your life, your body, so you can choose what you do,
And if one day you can't rein it in,
and of your last breath you are the only witness,
Then so be it, cause it’s your last breath,
and it's nobody else’s business.

We can't diagnose people with BPD because we aren't professionals. However if you think you fit the symptoms then it would be a good idea to try and get a referral to a psychiatrist or someone who could diagnose or at least help you manage the symptoms. If you don't like the doctor you are seeing, could you ask to see a different one? Or some unis have a mental health support person through disability services (part of student support) who you could talk to and who may also be able to do referrals.

What makes you think that your doctor thinks badly of you? It is his job to take your concerns seriously and if you feel that he isn't doing that then it might be a good idea to look into being referred to someone else. Talking to a medical professional is the only way that your question can be answered. I hope that you are able to speak to someone. Take care.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

It's statistically unlikely, go to your doctor for a proper diagnosis.

Agree with everything already been said.

You can't get a diagnosis without seeing a doctor.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
