Hi,
It's good that you've decided to book an appointment.

You took the OD on thursday and it's now saturday. How are you feeling? Are you feeling any physical effects from it? And how are you feeling emotionally?

Generally, if you've OD'd it would be recommended that you get checked out as soon as possible. Obviously no-one can make you do this unless you're under section. You say that you don't think it's an emergency cos you don't think that you're important enough. I know it's hard to do, but try to look at it from the outside...if it was someone else, do you think they would be important enough?

Sometimes it's easier to write things down if you are not sure what to say or if you think it will be difficult. I would suggest mentioning what you took, how much and when and why you did it. what were you feeling at the time. what do you think is the risk of you doing it again? And what sort of help are you looking for from your GP?

Hope this helps you...

So please don't let this chance slip away
If I waste it this time
I won't be here tomorrow

I am really glad you've made the decision to see your Doctor.

As the above poster said, it is important to seek help from any OD and it would be best for you to seek help as early as possible :)

I can't really add much to what they said at all really, very good advice there! Sometimes I find it easier to speak if I explain that I'm finding it very hard to know what to say, that way the Doctor knows you are struggling and once they know a little of what is going on can ask prompting questions etc.
