Why Wont They Help Me
Right so I am homeless thru no fault of my own in 3 days... I have been to the council blah blah etc all thru that stuff - I am not 'priority' apparently despite seeing a therapist weekly, so they wont house me, this includes being able to live in a homeless hostel temporarily. I have appealed etc but no joy.
Anyway I can stay with a friend hopefully but all this stress is killing me I have got to the point where I cant even cry I just keep wanting to hurt myself or just lying in bed feeling sick staring at the ceiling
I am really struggling to do ANYTHING and my cpn whos useless anyway is off sick for ages and doctor is on holiday, ive spoken to another doctor, nhs direct, and social worker and so has a m8 of mine on my behalf but they wont do anything to help me... no support even. The doctor said 'shes made her own decisions' implying its my fault im homeless... I have been unsettled housing wise for 3 months and I cant cope anymore
I have heard of ppl admitting themselves to hospital but I cant, even when ive been taken to casualty under section they wont do anything
why why why dont I matter enough to be helped
I dont know how to go on

Does your CMHT have a homeless team? We have in our area. Specifically for homeless people who have MH probs.
Have you spoken to anyone at Mind? Thay may be able to help with advocacy with talking to the housing and other agencies.

I want to kiss the bottom of the ocean before I burst through its surface into the sunlight, otherwise I will always be wondering about what was left unseen at the bottom
i'm tired of chasing my dreams.
i'm just gonna ask where they're going,
and hook up with them later.

Ive spoken to eberyone and everyone refuse to help. If the council wont help thats it - the other ppl can only help me approach them. There is no homeless/mental health team, the local crisis team refuse to visit me EVER and usually refuse to speak to me on the phone. The point is that my mental health is seriously **** atm cos of the stress - and they wont do anything to help. I have problems similar to borderline, though not a specific diagnosis, more unique. But they hate ppl with this, and I usually just see the therapist weekly and no other contact cos theyre ****, but now I do need more help and they wont - cos I dont usually feel this bad or need so much help.

How do you get on with your GP?
How about the CAB? They can help advocate for you. Mind also offer an advocacy service.

I get on fine with my GP, but shes on holiday. Anyway, all she can only refer me to the mental health team, the advocacy places can only do the same, its down to the mental health ppl in the end. Ive been sectioned by the police several times and taken to hospital, but as soon as ive seen a psychiatrist they send me home, the crisis team always tell the police theyre coming to me but the never show up.
WHY WONT THEY HELP ME?
