Starting in a new place doesn't erase all the problems. It just means you have the same problems in a new place... to get through it you're going to have to do some pretty hard work! I would suggest (strongly) getting a counsellor or doctor and talking to them.

Hey there, yes, I had a smiliar experience. When you go to uni yes you do get away from some things but you still bring issues with you. Also, although uni can have positives, it can also be stressful and cause anxiety or other problems can arise that you didn't have before.
I'm sorry you are having such a tough time.
*hugs*
I agree that you should see someone, get help, seek any resources and as much support as you can.
I'm glad you came back here, that you feel safe and can talk openly, and I hope you know we all care about you.
We're here for you if you need us and we're supporting you all the way.

I thin this is more common than you think. Some of the above proves it and ive whitnessed it first hand too.
Funny how "we" always seem to think that things will be better once we move away. Its as if we think that our problems are like an old bag we can just leave somewhere and forget about. Its strange how in some way problems can be made into actual physical objects in a kind of sense and actually attributed to a certain location.
Thing is as im sure you know; the problem is not "in" a house or relationship or car or building or universty or home or playing field or bike or kangaroo (got a bit carried away there :P), its in our head and heart and we carry those everywhere with us.
Take it from somone who has spent 37 years trying to run away or move on or find a better place in "somewhere", "something" or "somebody", that no matter how far you go; you still carry it around with you. But it can and does get better once you realise this and start to work on whats inside rather than running from it or covering it up with a temporary move etc.
Im sorry its poo right now. Im sorry its not the way you probably had it all pictured in your head.
My advice would be to get a GP asap and tell them all of it. Try to get on the counselling register too. The sooner you act the better because these things take time. If there are family and frinds you can talk to then let them know how you are if possible. If you fel that you are letting anyone down the DONT! Its something alot of people feel when they move away to uni anf feel ****! But its not your fault. Its not unis fault either.
Uni is something that people talk about as if it were one of the great wonders of the world. Something to be experieced and not missed before we die. Its put up there on a plateau and often talked about as "the best years of your life". Theres alot of pressure to "like it" and for most, well they love it, but for some its hard. Its like chips or chocolate: Most people love em' but some dont, but that doesnt make those that dont wrong or wierd or weak or bad or useless or crap or a failure or whatever. It just makes them different. Theres ALOT of pressure put upon you when you dont enjoy something, when the world around you seems to be or "expect" you to be.
^^^sorry gone off on a tangent there. ¬.¬
Dont suffer in silence. Take care
Matthew
