Sectioned under a section 2

I have been sectioned under section 2. I'm at home at the mo as the bed is not available till 6pm. This was the last thing I thought the psychiatrist would do but it will hopefully be helpful.

I'm hoping they have internet access for patients.

About to be picked up to go, so if they do not allow connection to the internet, thanks everyone for your support and hopefully I can learn to live my life without the need to injure or overdose when I get out.

Again thanks you lovely lot.

I hope that being in hospital for a bit really helps you. It's not the nicest place to be but at least they are going to really try to give you the support you need and deserve.
Best wishes,
xxxx

I'm so sorry to hear this. Under what grounds were you sectioned? Hugs.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

I was sectioned for depression, BPD and for life threatening self harming activities. I am now on a section 3 so could be here for six months. using internet through phone very expensive so really limited.

My GP did not really want to sighn for section 3 but thinks that I would be safer this way.

Thanks for your support I hope to get better here.

I really hope the stay in hospital proves helpful for you. If nothing else you will be kept safe and I imagine that was what the section was based on [danger to yourself]. Hopefully a six month stay will give you the time to learn ways in which you can keep yourself safe upon discharge.

Section 3? Big hugs. That really sucks. I've been on a few section 2's, but I've managed to avoid a section 3. There should be a ward computer with internet access. Oh my, huge hugs. I hope the nurses are ok there. I hope you find some patients to hang around with. I have. Xxxxxxx
