ADHD vs. hyperkinetic disorder

This is quite random coming from me, but hey.

Not many people know, but when I was a kid I was diagnosed with hyperkinetic disorder. I still have it (I find it hard to stop moving and when I'm sitting I constantly fidget, tap my fingers on the table or move my leg repeatedly. I also have the need to exercise every couple hours).

However my concentration is great (when I am not ill in the schizophrenia sense) and I have been known to spend six hours working in one go.

I basically have some symptoms of ADHD (overactivity) but not others (bad concentration).

Does anyone know about the difference between hyperkinetic disorder and ADHD? Because when I tell people I'm hyperactive, they say "so you have ADHD?" and I'm thinking "NO!".

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.
