I'm just curious as to what the status is on the ED Advice section. (My apologies if I've missed something somewhere.)
There was a lot of great information on v2, and I'm missing it.
If help is needed, I'm more than willing to offer some time.

if i am honest i am finding the lack of articles very frustrating.
the site has been running for quite a while now,and i only managed to get a proper look on v3 the day before v2 cllosed down so it was impossible for me to save any articles.i assumed they would have been the first thing that would have been transfered over/
i needed an article last night after my thread got no replies before i went to bed and i was ignored in chat.
Jane im really sorry they were'nt there for you. They are all written and transfered, I shall get someone from advice to come let you know whats happening.
Hey guys, I am by no means the best person to be commenting on this, but I can assure you that the team are working hard, we are just waiting for the articles to be uploaded. Harley has been uber busy as I am sure you will understand and it has taken longer than expected to get all of the articles off of V2 and prepare them for here.
Hopefully we will have them back soo. Bear with us.

All the articles from v2 are saved! There are also lots lots more which have been written. The articles have been expanded and a lot of them needed a bit of repair work due to updates, spelling nd grammar etc. As you can imagine, this all takes time.
Although the articles are pretty much done,due to the new layout, Harley is currently the only person who can upload them. Unfortunately he has not had the time to do this yet due to still working on site problems, layouts and has only just gotten around to finishing moving post counts etc.
I will assure you that they will be up shortly and no information was lost.
If there is a particular article that you are looking for, or you need info about a certain subject, feel free to pm me and I should be able to send you a copy via pm/email.

are the articles going to be put onto the site soon?, i am finding it very frustrating without having articlesto link other members to when they want support.
Okay again I am not Harley so can only advise from where the advice team stand.

why are the articles available to some members and not others? it sounds as if some people still have access to v2. if this is the case, i can't understand (maybe due to my lack of technical knowledge) why it can't be available to everyone, for reference purposes.
as for which articles we miss, i think the single most important article ever, on any version of RYL, has been Harley's Slipping Up article. but hardly a week goes by, without someone asking me for information which used to be readily available under the ED section of the v2 'main site'.
we do all realise that Harley is very busy making this a great place, and that other members have put in a lot of hard work too. but, sometimes, the way this is continually pointed out makes it seem like anyone who asks a question is being ungrateful. that isn't the case. we just want this community to be as great as we know it can be.
We had acess for about a week longer than everyone else to make certain everything was off. We no longer have access, I think sometime the reasons for it being pointed out about Harley is because its true however I have reason to believe that the majority of the articles will be up by the end of the week :)
Oh and as kim says the articles are now on my computer from v2!!!

As was said, Staff had access to V2 about a week longer then everyone else to double check that all the articles had been saved and so Harley could finish updating the members post counts and join dates. We no longer have access as it has been taken down to reduce the load on the server.
Many of the staff have articles saved on their computers, and many of the people have access to the articles for their particular member scheme.
If you know what article you are looking for, post here and someone could try and find it for you.

Somehow I guess they were wrong.
We shall try to have at least some of the articles up by the end of this week. I can understand why you are so impatient but its not as easy as just putting it up, they are all in different places and are being improved.
The sectioning for the articles has now been done. The introductions are in place and the ED articles have been formatted ready to go up. We are currently waiting for some site updates which will enable us to get them up for you. random.swirls has done a lot of work formatting these articles to make them easy to understand and the team have checked them to make sure that they easy to understand.
I thank you for your patience on this subject. And the offer still stands that if any users would like a certain article, we can pm it to them.
